Interactive map of the Territories of Full Ecological Tranquility (TFET)

We have begun a major research project to consolidate global data on protected systems. We are gathering geographic databases from various countries, studying existing reserves, manually mapping territories, and integrating additional scientific data. Our first goal is to show on a global scale how the current nature protection system is actually structured. Where reserves are located, how isolated they are, what natural areas remain between them, and where ecological connections are disrupted. We want to create a unified picture that can be explored and analyzed. The next stage is much more complex. Over the existing reserve system, we will develop scientifically justified boundaries for proposed Territories of Full Ecological Tranquility (TFET). We will study entire natural regions, consider the state of ecosystems, animal ranges and migration paths, natural barriers, human impact, and the potential for restoring disturbed areas. For each proposed TFET, a separate Public Initiative will be created with scientific justification, cartographic materials, and specific proposals for governments. This will allow for systematic work with individual regions, engaging the public, reaching out to authorities, and achieving the practical creation of such territories. Essentially, we are forming a unified global research base that combines cartography, ecological data, scientific analysis, and mechanisms for public engagement. Most importantly, anyone will be able to open the map and see the existing network of reserves, its gaps, and the proposed boundaries of future TFETs. Then, they can study the scientific justifications and participate in efforts to protect specific territories.
