Dozens of “zombie roe deer” have been found in the Kurgan region — they were poisoned by agrochemicals.

In the north of the Kurgan region, dead "zombie roe deer" have once again been found, which have been appearing in various regions of Russia for several years in a row. The sight is horrifying. The animals behave like real zombies and then die in agony. This time, a criminal case has been opened, and the causes of the appearance of "zombie roe deer" have been officially confirmed — exactly what we have been saying all along, calling on the state to impose an urgent moratorium on the use of dangerous agrochemicals in agriculture.

Now in detail.

Just recently (September 2025), the authorities opened a criminal case under Article 246 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation regarding the mass poisoning of roe deer. About 20 dead animals were found, which had behaved like "zombies". The animals were sent for toxicology: dangerous chemical substances were found in their bodies. Moreover, the concentration was off the scale, the roe deer were literally soaked through with poisons! One substance acts similarly to a nerve agent, and another triggers a reaction of cell destruction.

All these chemicals are used by farmers in agriculture.

So now the cause of the mass appearance of "zombie roe deer" in the regions of Russia in recent years has been fully and officially established. And accordingly, the death of all the animals (which, I remind you, cover the agricultural fields every year — literally tens of thousands of carcasses each time).

A little about the substances found in the roe deer. I carefully studied all the data!

In the tissues of the affected roe deer, diquat dibromide was found — this is a strong oxidizer, a herbicide, which is added as a component of desiccants. When it enters the body, diquat causes the formation of free radicals and lipid peroxidation, destroying cell membranes. That is why even small doses of diquat lead to cell death and organ necrosis.

Deltamethrin was also detected — this is actually an insecticide, a nerve-paralytic poison that causes severe convulsions, loss of coordination, and paralysis in animals. And it was precisely these convulsive movements that were observed in the "zombie roe deer".

These substances were found in huge amounts in the roe deer’s bodies, while a whole range of other dangerous chemicals was also identified.

Now a brief chronology of events.

The first mass case was recorded in September 2022. Then, in the Dalmatovo and Shadrinsk districts of the Kurgan region, dozens of roe deer suddenly began to die — hunters counted about 30–70 dead animals with neurological symptoms (convulsions, foam from the mouth, blood from the eyes). No viruses or known infections were found; at the same time, suspicions of poisoning from agrochemicals arose, since during this period tens of thousands of dead animals and birds had been found in the fields in other regions of the country. We raised a scandal and demanded a moratorium on the use of dangerous chemicals.

A year later, the situation repeated itself, again nothing was resolved. Again, dead animals were found in the fields and the appearance of "zombie roe deer". There were numerous reports of roe deer entering the sown fields, after which the "zombie invasion" began. The animals writhed in convulsions and died in terrible agony over a long period. The authorities even organized teams to shoot roe deer.

And only now, in September 2025, has the first criminal case been initiated and exact confirmation obtained — the animals are dying because of agrochemicals on agricultural fields. Now imagine how many residual poisons then end up in our food products from these very agricultural enterprises. They feed us and our children with all this! And gradually accumulating, the poisons cause chronic deadly diseases — when people die of cancer, no one will even connect it to the fact that a year earlier they consumed “eco-friendly products” from agricultural fields.

When it took the authorities several years to confirm the death of roe deer from poisons, during which an enormous number of animals had already perished, what can we say about attempts to identify the real consequences for the end consumer?

Public outcry is now more important than ever! Animals have been dying in agony for several years in a row. We must demand not only the initiation of criminal cases but also a complete ban on the use of the identified agrochemicals. Otherwise, this cycle of ecocide will never stop.
