An address to allies about launching projects to protect the key predators of the Russian Taiga

There is an extermination of wolves — the orderlies of wildlife. And on such a scale that by the time people realize the problem, real wolves will be killed off completely. In parallel, bears are being уничтожены, to the point that in the 2026 hunting season alone they allowed the shooting of more than 42 thousand individuals across the country! Tigers are also being deprived of habitat, with calls including to legalize hunting of a Red Book predator.

We tried to fight for the key predators of wildlife, but this not only meets aggressive resistance among those who openly support cleansing nature of wild beasts, but also a lack of interest from ordinary people. Moreover, fear of predators forces people en masse to choose a “neutral position,” ignoring and turning a blind eye to the problems of their extermination.

In January 2026, I announced on the Telegram channel plans to launch separate projects in defense of the predatory animals of the Russian Taiga. To take on the main problems of their extermination and try to achieve changes! Obviously, nothing can be done quickly. But it can no longer be ignored.

Now I want to discuss launching the projects. What can be done at all and how!

The fact is that the problems are systemic, and they can be solved only in the same way — системно. Millions of people must not just learn about the problem, but understand it and be ready to act to protect the animals. Even achieving this is very difficult under constant blocks of social networks, platforms, restrictions, and censorship.

You, allies, already know the situation. We have been fighting for wildlife for a long time! So let me immediately, without unnecessary clarifications, tell you about the strategy for protecting the beasts of the Russian Taiga. Our свободный брат!

I devoted the entire last week to studying international projects — who in general, how, and where protects predatory animals. In fact, it turns out that there are no large-scale results in the world — none at all. On the contrary, the problems only worsen! There is no practical experience either.

For example, some U.S. states where wolves were completely exterminated, and then by the efforts of society they managed to return them back to the wild. You have probably heard about this! So, in reality it looks like this: first the regions were cleansed of the orderlies of wildlife, simply уничтожив populations to zero. Then came многолетняя struggle, including at the political level, where people tried to achieve the return of wolves! Tens of millions of dollars were spent on this — colossal money. In the end, a few unfortunate individuals were released into nature, that is, not even полноценные packs, but single wolves. Now they are again being sought to be killed, they find wolves beaten to death, and they also push through in the authorities the legalization of their shooting.

This is not protection; in my view it is simply some kind of издевательство over wolves! The gray orderlies of wildlife, already raised in captivity, were released into vast forests so that people would then follow them again with a desire to kill. And millions of dollars were spent on all of this!

So how should we act? What can we do together to change the world for the better and take up the protection of predators?

Having studied a huge volume of data, projects in the world, the situation in our country, I propose the following:

FIRST.

Launch three independent projects: in defense of wolves, in defense of bears, and in defense of tigers. Make them centers for coordinating society’s efforts! Through the projects, convey scientifically grounded information about what the main problems are, prepare specific solutions (documents) for the authorities, collect and support the projects with scientific research in defense of the key predators of wildlife.

That is, these will be comprehensive projects where each person can quickly learn about the problem, back it all with scientific data, and ознакомиться with specific proposals for solving the problems. Here, information can also be passed on further, promoting the importance of protecting animals.

In addition, for example, regarding the situation with bears, we can create a full register with all decrees on their extermination from regional governments. We compile and update this register annually, the only ones in the country, obtaining real data on the scale of cleansing nature of bears!

Thus, we will have three central projects in defense of the key predators of the Russian Taiga. It is necessary to regularly update the information, supplement it with scientific works, and bring it to leading positions in search engines for key queries: when people search for information about wolves, tigers, or bears — the first thing they should see in the future is our coordination centers (projects).

SECOND.

Recently, we have carried out, and at the time of writing this address are still carrying out, work to bring to responsibility people in Yakutia for torturing a she-wolf. For those not yet familiar, briefly the situation is as follows: in a морозный January they caught a young she-wolf in a trap that crushed her leg to the bone. In that condition they left her to bleed out, feeding her once every few days so she would not die too early and would howl, calling other wolves for help. Around the she-wolf they set other лов devices, hoping to уничтожить the entire wolf family!

Such torture. So, on this tragic case we are developing mechanisms to fight against similar crimes! Repeatedly, either wolves were run over alive by snowmobiles and people happily photographed themselves against the bloodied animal, or bears were shot while sleeping in dens, also for “heroic photos.”

In our projects to protect the key predators, I propose launching a separate function “Send a signal,” through which people can report such crimes. We will study each case, raise public resonance, launch local civic initiatives, and seek accountability through state agencies and law enforcement!

Thus, on the basis of the predator protection projects, work will be carried out постоянно not only in attempts to change something at the global legislative level, but also on local crimes. This will make it possible to shift the public agenda, show people the horrific reality, and mobilize efforts to solve the problems.

THIRD.

And now, when we have launched coordination centers, projects in defense of predators, and work is underway against local crimes in the Russian Taiga, I propose going further and trying to influence the problems not only in society, but also within the state system. This is very difficult! Many things are legalized; for example, wolves can be killed with torture devices (traps, snares), and in many regions extermination is allowed without limits and restrictions. With bears, you also know the situation: the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation itself openly called for killing bears all winter, meaning specifically those sleeping in dens.

And the hunting lobby here is enormous, as is the community. When we launch projects in defense of predators and also develop stable mechanisms to influence local problems, we can try to push for legislative changes through our people in power. We are supported by people both in federal agencies and in the State Duma, the Federation Council, and our position has repeatedly been accepted in the Presidential Administration. I think we need to build contacts and gradually try to change the situation with the extermination of predators at the legislative level! But not by mere criticism or public resonance, but with a scientific approach, specific proposals, and independent assessment.

Again, only mass public support will play the key role here.

PREPARING FOR LAUNCH.

So, allies! Early public initiatives in defense of wolves and tigers are closed. We begin preparations for a gradual launch of projects to protect the key predators of the Russian Taiga — we cannot do everything at once, a huge amount of work, so we will do it in stages. We do not have resources for large-scale struggle, and under conditions of total censorship even simply voicing the problems becomes impossible.

But no one except us will do this! Let us continue our Mission in the fight for Life. Follow the news — a huge hard work awaits us.
