BLACK SKY: Mass Infertility, Oncology, and Toxic Air

For many years, our cities have been sinking into toxic smog. A "black sky" regime is introduced! Then everything dissipates, people continue living, and once again, time after time, they are immersed in the consequences of capitalism through habituation. All because the current economy cannot stop and change course while the "wealthy uncles" extract billions from heavy industry and natural resource extraction.

Meanwhile, as they "make money," people are actually dying from the consequences.

On November 28, the city of Ufa was enveloped in toxic smog. In the Chernikovka district, the concentration of isopropylbenzene was nearly 10 times higher than any permissible norms!

For reference: isopropylbenzene (cumene) is dangerous due to its high toxicity and flammability. Inhaling its vapors can cause respiratory irritation, dizziness, nausea, and central nervous system depression. Skin contact causes irritation, and prolonged exposure can lead to dermatitis. It is also harmful to the environment, especially aquatic ecosystems.

Moreover, Ufa recorded excessive dust levels in the air, with thick fog observed, and people widely complained about being unable to breathe! The Ministry of Ecology, naturally, claimed it was "due to windless weather," to which locals pointed to old, rusting heavy industrial plants, which, on their last legs, operate at full capacity day and night!

On the same day, November 28, similar news came from Tyumen. The city declared the first level of danger due to air pollution!

The Ob-Irtysh Administration for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring stated: "From 9:00 PM on November 28 to 11:00 AM on November 29, unfavorable conditions for the dispersion of harmful impurities in the atmospheric air are expected. The first-level unfavorable meteorological conditions are declared."

According to data from the Swiss air monitoring organization IQAir, which tracks pollution worldwide, Tyumen's air pollution exceeds international norms by more than three times.

According to the Russian publication "RBC," the concentration of substances in the city exceeds the annual average by 2.6 times.

What was discovered, and what are people breathing? Particles of soot, sulfates, nitrates, and heavy metal oxides were detected. People are also breathing fragments of asphalt and car tires! All this slowly kills people and provokes severe deadly diseases.

Earlier, on November 25, news came from Krasnoyarsk. Krasnoyarsk City Council Deputy Vyacheslav Dyukov stated: "Krasnoyarsk Krai is among the most polluted regions of Russia, which has led to widespread infertility among residents. The air is polluted due to emissions from the aluminum plant, a huge number of cars, stove heating, and other industries."

Can the data of an official who claims a massive decline in pregnancies due to air pollution be trusted? The regional Ministry of Health recently reported that by 2024, the birth rate in Krasnoyarsk Krai had dropped by at least 4.5%. Typically, official statistical data is always understated!

So even officials openly admit that there is widespread infertility among people due to air pollution.

It should also be mentioned that on November 7, 2024, Krasnoyarsk announced plans to build a large center for cancer patients. This was announced at a plenary session of the Federation Council by the senator from the region, Alexander Uss.

Here is the exact quote: "A center where all diagnostic and treatment procedures can be carried out for domestic patients and cancer patients from nearby foreign countries: China, Kazakhstan, Mongolia."

It should be noted that the aforementioned nearby foreign countries are states with similar levels of air pollution and, accordingly, a rapid increase in oncology among the population.

A similar situation exists in other cities of Krasnoyarsk Krai. For example, in Minusinsk, Rospotrebnadzor stated that the level of toxic substances in the air exceeds the norm by three times. Many types of ash, nitrogen oxides and dioxides, sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide, and benzopyrene were detected.

By the way, it should be immediately noted that, among other things, benzopyrene (according to scientific data) causes embryo mutations in pregnant women and the death of unborn children. But when it reacts with other toxic substances, the "cocktail" becomes many times more dangerous!

I have previously written in my materials that practically no one assesses the connections and reactions between toxic substances. There is no objective data!

Air pollution in Minusinsk has been talked about for a long time. People have become so accustomed to it that it has ceased to interest anyone at all. That is, everyone accepts it as a given and does not consider it necessary to react or solve the problem globally!

Here is a comment from Sergey Shakhmatov, a member of the Federal Council and Executive Director of the Open Environmental Platform "Russian Greens":

"In Minusinsk, in winter, you can hang an ax in the air and mistake day for night due to the thick black smog. This is what residents breathe, hence the corresponding level of oncology and other diseases that affect reproductive function."

On November 28, reports of toxic air also came from Nizhny Tagil. There, increased levels of nitrogen oxide, carbon, and hydrogen sulfide pollution were recorded. According to "Ural UGMS," air pollution was 1.5 times higher than the maximum permissible concentration.

On November 22, Novosibirsk declared a "black sky" regime. It lasted a week, after which it was extended again on November 29! The air in the city and its outskirts became toxic, with the first level of danger declared.

And such a situation is not only in Russian cities. The same is true in neighboring Kazakhstan! On November 30, 2024, in Astana and 12 other cities of the country, authorities urged people not to go outside due to toxic air.

The list includes: Astana, Aktobe, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Semey, Ridder, Karaganda, Temirtau, Balkhash, Zhezkazgan, Kostanay, Pavlodar, Kokshetau, and Petropavlovsk.

People suffering from chronic lung, cardiovascular, or allergic diseases were advised to take medications with them outdoors.

Conclusions

The problem is that people get used to it and do not demand change! The system only changes under the pressure of a large number of people. But very few people feel the problem until they face a fatal illness! And when they do, they say it is pointless to fight because the disease is already incurable.

This is the main mistake! Problems must be identified, responded to, and changes demanded. Senators propose building a cancer treatment center for citizens of Russia, Kazakhstan, China, and Mongolia. Will treatment be free? Of course not, it’s a business and another opportunity to extract colossal profits in the future. Suffering people are profitable; all medicine is built on making people dependent on drugs for life.

I won’t be wrong to say that air pollution only further enriches a small group of already abnormally wealthy people.

Modernizing all enterprises, announcing grants for scientists for the latest filter developments for heavy industry, prosecuting owners of factories for ecocide and the death of people – no one will do it. At most, they will issue a fine and wag a finger, and for people, they will build a "super oncology center" to welcome clients with open arms.

And they outright state that they are waiting for clients from China, Kazakhstan, and Mongolia. People from dirty cities will go to a dirty city in another country to try to treat severe oncology caused by the consequences of a dirty city.

Paradox?

I believe that all problems are solvable! It’s just that no one really benefits from it. The main thing is to create the appearance of trying to solve problems, conduct monitoring, and even identify them together with citizens. And people will say: "Well, look, the system is looking for problems with us."

No one will ask: "Where and through whose fault did these problems come from? Why are people dying, and why will our children be forced to die in suffering from cancer?"
