Under the pretext of fighting carbon: the ocean is being turned into a chemical testing ground.

Just recently, I told you that large-scale programs have already begun around the world to cut down forests and “bury wood” in the ground. In the United States, the Forest Service officially announced plans to cut down around 30 million hectares of forests over 10 years, and all of this will be “buried” in the ground, allegedly to prevent carbon emissions. In the near future, I will prepare an even more expanded material on this topic with new data. 

And now, right after that, a large-scale race of “dumb and dumber” begins among various kinds of scientists. The whole point is that enormous money has started flowing into the carbon agenda! Transnational corporations and the states serving their interests are interested in imposing carbon taxes on the entire world. This is already being successfully implemented!

But in order to push this agenda through, they need to show everyone the “fight” against climate change! To show how scientists are working hard on the problem, how they are competing to invent a better way to stop carbon emissions into the atmosphere.

And they pay! They pay huge sums of money, grants, finance any nonsense, just to inflate the problem to unimaginable proportions.

Those who remember the school course know that the ocean surface is a place of carbon dioxide exchange between water and the atmosphere. The release or absorption of carbon depends on numerous factors, including changes in water temperature, phytoplankton, marine plants and algae, as well as geological processes on the ocean floor.

Moving on!

Oceans occupy about 71% of the entire surface of the planet. That is approximately 361 million square kilometers! Whereas land occupies only 29%, which is 149 million square kilometers.

Are the scales clear?

And now about monkeys with a grenade in their hands: Scientists from the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution in Falmouth received permission from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and have already conducted the first experiment involving the release of sodium hydroxide (alkali) into the ocean, allegedly to slow climate change.

Initially, they negotiated with the authorities about two stages. They wanted to conduct the first one about 10 miles south of Martha’s Vineyard (USA), but after criticism and public pressure, this part of the application was withdrawn. Then they moved the main experiment to the Gulf of Maine, to the Wilkinson Basin area, about 38 miles from the nearest Cape Cod shoreline.

At first, the documents considered the release of more than 60,000 gallons of sodium hydroxide solution. But after discussions, criticism, and additional calculations, the volume was reduced by about 75%. As a result, in August 2025, scientists had already released about 16,500 gallons of a 50-percent sodium hydroxide solution into the ocean — that is approximately 65,000 liters of alkaline substance. Along with it, they added a red tracer dye to track the movement of this chemical plume in seawater.

The goal of the project, in their own words, and I quote literally: “Locking Ocean Carbon in the Northeast Shelf and Slope.” In this way, they want to use this method to stop the release of carbon into the atmosphere.

Now the first release has already taken place, and by the end of 2026 they want to summarize the results and begin a full-scale practice of removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere through artificial ocean alkalinity enhancement. That is, this practice will become LARGE-SCALE AND PERMANENT, and ordinary people will pay for this “carbon fever” out of their taxes.

Now, as they claim, within the framework of the experiment it is important for them to:

• Understand the potential environmental impact of using ocean alkalinity enhancement to remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere

  
  
• Verify and report the amount of carbon dioxide that this method could actually remove if applied at large scale

I will quote their statement to the Environmental Protection Agency: “While emissions reductions are key to minimizing human impacts on Earth’s climate, in recent years it has become clear that dramatic emissions reductions must be complemented by efforts to actively remove existing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.”

Earlier, dozens of environmental organizations opposed this initiative; people are demanding that experiments on nature be stopped! They point to the fact that technical ocean alkalinity enhancement is prohibited under the UN Convention on Biological Diversity because of the SCIENTIFICALLY CONFIRMED risks that these technologies pose to ocean ecosystems.

Simply put: such experiments can deal a crushing blow to marine ecosystems and simply kill everything living! And this will not happen immediately, but gradually: the problem will become chronic, and no one will be able to stop the degradation of ecosystems anymore. 

Nature defenders and biologists also point to the obvious lobbying of transnational corporate interests within the “carbon agenda.”

Well, why not, pretty convenient, right? They will cut down millions of hectares of forests and bury them in the ground, while at the same time they begin dumping alkali into the ocean on a massive scale. And for all these programs, money will be written off from taxpayers’ pockets, and people will also be burdened with new taxes “for their carbon footprint.”

Need I say that sodium hydroxide, which they are going to release into the ocean, is an extremely dangerous substance?

A brief note:

Sodium hydroxide can cause severe chemical burns upon contact with skin or mucous membranes. These burns can be deeper and more serious than thermal burns.

Inhalation of sodium hydroxide dust or vapors can cause irritation or damage to the respiratory tract. Symptoms may include coughing, difficulty breathing, sore throat, and swelling of the airways. This causes and worsens chronic diseases, which can lead to premature death.

The substance also causes severe eye irritation, burns, and even loss of vision. Even brief contact with the skin can cause severe irritation, itching, redness, and burns. With prolonged contact, more serious damage is possible.

If sodium hydroxide is accidentally swallowed, it can cause burns to the mouth, throat, esophagus, and stomach. This can lead to severe pain, vomiting, diarrhea, and, in severe cases, organ perforation and other life-threatening complications.

Sodium hydroxide is also a corrosive agent and can destroy many materials, including metals and organic tissues. This makes it especially dangerous in household and industrial settings, where it can damage equipment and surfaces.

NOW ONCE AGAIN: scientists have already released part of this substance into coastal ocean areas in order to “stop carbon release.” And now they plan to do this on a permanent basis. 

This reminded me of one similar story. Between 1946 and 1970, barrels of radioactive waste were “buried” off the coast of San Francisco near the Farallon Islands. In total, there were 47,500 barrels that were dumped into the water, but they refused to sink voluntarily.

Without thinking for long, they started shooting at them with automatic weapons, turning them into sieves.

This went on for many years! They dumped them into the ocean and shot at them, forcing the barrels to sink faster. All the barrels contained plutonium waste and other radioactive materials.

Only in 1982 did California Governor Jerry Brown appeal to Congress to stop such practices of radioactive waste “disposal,” emphasizing that correcting such environmental mistakes is practically impossible.

THIS WAS NOT LONG AGO AT ALL!

And right now, during endless natural anomalies caused by human activity, scientists in the United States are preparing to dump dangerous substances into the ocean for decades in order to “see what happens.” Really, like monkeys with a grenade in their hands, stubbornly pulling the pin without thinking that it is explosive.

Sometimes it seems to me that all of this is just a bad dream. People cannot really, in full seriousness, at the scale of entire states, make decisions to cut down millions of hectares of forests just to bury them in the ground.

Just as they cannot, at a moment when the entire world needs to unite to restore lost ecosystems, simply go ahead and conduct experiments involving the massive dumping of dangerous substances into the ocean.

And every time they tell us: this is for your own protection! We need to stop carbon emissions. We need to save us all!
