Will poisons be dropped from helicopters: ecocide in the name of saving birds?

Something terrible is happening in the world. Few people notice that we are witnessing a cascading SHARP decline in the immune system of the Biosphere due to human activity. This is manifested in the extinction of entire species, the inability of ecosystems to adapt to climate change, and the destruction of biological systems that have been stable for millennia.

When you study this for years, you understand the scale of the catastrophe! Unfortunately, people only notice things that happen immediately. For example, if thousands of seal corpses suddenly wash ashore or dead fish rise to the surface of a lake. But if the seals and fish are removed, in a few days, people will forget and continue living as if nothing had happened!

Meanwhile, nature continues to die. And there are no real assessments of the catastrophe! Just as there is no real solution to global environmental problems.

Recently, environmentalists from South Africa contacted me. I've known them for a long time since our expeditions in the equatorial forests! They say they are starting a large-scale program to save albatross birds.

Environmental organizations, with the support of the authorities, have managed to raise millions of dollars to fight the mice that are destroying albatrosses.

I hadn't heard about this problem before! But now that I know, I'm beginning to grasp the scale of FUTURE DISASTERS.

Here’s the thing…

A project called "Mouse-Free Marion" has been launched in Africa by environmental organizations. Their project is aimed at protecting bird populations. Recently, they raised one-quarter of the $29 million needed! This money is needed to equip a fleet of helicopters with POISON to save the birds.

At first, I even asked again: "Poison? Are you crazy?"

They explained it to me.

On the island where wandering albatrosses nest, mice have proliferated, devouring the birds' eggs. The population is rapidly declining. Albatrosses nest on an island in the Indian Ocean! Conservationists began observing the population decline and discovered that mice are massively devouring their eggs. Moreover, it was observed for the first time that mice are attacking adult birds, climbing onto their feathers, and slowly eating the albatrosses alive.

Environmentalists say that in the images they’ve captured, the birds have literally had their flesh gnawed off, starting from the head and all over their bodies. Of the 29 seabird species that breed on this island, 19 are already on the verge of extinction!

I asked, "Why don't the birds defend themselves? If mice are climbing on them, can’t they shake them off?"

They told me that for thousands of years, birds have evolved without ground predators and simply don’t know how to respond. They don't understand how to react to such a threat! According to the environmentalists, hundreds of thousands of seabirds die annually due to mouse attacks.

Now the environmentalists are raising the necessary $29 million to protect the birds! In 2027 (in just two years), they plan to send helicopters loaded with pellets of deadly poison to distribute them across the island until all the mice are dead. The island is about 25 km long and 17 km wide. Pilots will have to work in extreme heat for a long time to cover the island with poisonous bait.

The environmentalists told me that the main goal is to kill EVERY mouse, to the last one. If any survive, it will lead to a resurgence of the population, meaning that $29 million and years of preparation would be in vain.

I asked, "Has this happened before? Why are there so many mice now?"

They said the problem is due to the sharp change in climate and rising abnormal temperatures. This is accelerated by human activity, and ecosystems are so damaged and "developed" that nature cannot adapt or defend itself. In a natural environment, ecosystems recover on their own, defend themselves, and suppress invasive species.

But humans are striking directly at the immune system of nature, depriving it of its ability to defend itself!

I started researching the data a little. It turned out that mice were introduced to the island by humans back in the early 1800s, that is, 200 years ago. After World War II, cats were also introduced to control the mice population! However, the number of cats grew, and they began killing up to half a million birds annually. There was MASSIVE CAT SLAUGHTER on the island until 1991, with cats being killed by stoning or crushed alive by machinery.

After that, the mice spread, and today everything is completely out of control.

So what happened? First, humans introduced mice, then cats, then exterminated the cats, and now the mice have proliferated. Meanwhile, the largest seabird population in the world has been rapidly dying all these years! On top of these problems, there’s the "total development" of local ecosystems by humans and climate anomalies.

Now environmentalists are raising millions of dollars to cover the island... with poisonous bait.

I tried to explain this to them, but it was in vain! They don’t even want to listen. My arguments don't suit them because they "completely undermine" all their plans to raise millions of dollars and carry out the "special operation to exterminate the mice."

I’ll try to explain to you! You, comrades, have been reading me for a long time and understand well what's happening to our nature.

The measures currently being taken by conservationists in South Africa have already been "tested" in many countries around the world. And this has led to the total extinction of species and the further destruction of biological systems!

For example, in Australia, there are ongoing "invasions" of various species. The people who "developed" the continent first wiped out all key animal species! In addition, they introduced invasive species. Now nature is dying. It doesn’t happen immediately, it takes time! But year by year, species extinction is so global that no one can stop it anymore.

Recently, the authorities dropped poisoned sausages from airplanes to kill 2 million cats! As a result, all ground animals ate these sausages and began to die. Then there was a mouse invasion, which literally filled everything around. People started spreading poison, which killed insects and other animals. The poison was carried to coastal areas, killing animals in rivers and seas. Corpses were simply washing ashore!

This continues there to this day. Australians have killed dingoes, kangaroos, rabbits, cats, mice, huge spiders, and even gunned down large Emu birds with machine guns.

And now, conservationists in South Africa are trying to do the same thing to stop the albatrosses from dying. Poison cannot be scattered, as it will lead to even greater ecological catastrophes!

This poison will inevitably contaminate the soil, insects, and other animals. Dead mice will be eaten by snakes and birds, which will also begin to die. Then the poison will be carried into the ocean by surface water (rain), killing coral reef inhabitants and coastal species!

The consequences won’t be immediately visible! But it is an IRREVERSIBLE PROCESS. The Australians have nearly destroyed an entire continent, and here we’re talking about just a small island.

Now imagine the scale of the "operation" to exterminate the mice on the island: they are planning to scatter poison worth $29 million. That's over 2.5 billion rubles!

When the conservationists were telling me about their plans, I tried to explain these things to them. Unfortunately, they didn’t even want to listen! It was something like, "We’re sharing such important information with you, and you’re criticizing us."

2027.

Just two years away!

Another destructive operation will be carried out where the largest seabird population in the world nests. And no one, neither the authorities nor the conservationists, is thinking about the consequences.

This is the kind of horror happening right now on the planet.

We are in the midst of the sixth mass extinction, caused by humans!

We are all responsible for what is happening.
