Part 2. Artificial intelligence: how to ensure that all people are needed?

In the first part of the material on artificial intelligence, we discussed its impact on humanity and the danger it poses. The truth is that the development of AI really makes the vast majority of people unnecessary, and the old economic model, tied to consumption and population growth, is no longer efficient. The world is now escaping stagnation toward a downturn—and everything that was created before becomes unnecessary.

And it is impossible to compete with a machine that can perform all routine tasks. Practically all repetitive professions in the coming years will be carried out by AI more efficiently, faster, and cheaper. Discoveries, developments, and even self-learning.

In more detail—dear readers, you could learn about this in the first part of the material, and today I want to analyze a real way out of this crisis and achieve a situation where both people and artificial intelligence (technological progress) are needed.

What does the “global elite” propose? Over what is this incredible struggle between states happening right now?

Some believe that the population needs to be “reduced” through controlled pandemics and other radical measures. Others see the path of “digital isolation” under the control of the same AI, with society transitioning to metaverses (which are already being successfully developed and tested) and social ratings.

A scandal has just erupted. A new government has come to power in the United States under the leadership of Donald Trump, and billionaire Elon Musk has become his “right hand.” The same capitalists who want profit and control have come to power! Moreover, Elon Musk is directly interested in the development of technology, and he provides a “bridge” between Silicon Valley (the billionaires) and the US government.

And in the very first weeks—he publicly declares that the state sponsored the development of the coronavirus pandemic and biological weapons, which have already killed millions of people!

What do we see? The very struggle I’m talking about: one side of the “global elite” just wants to “reduce” the number of people, while the other is eager for techno-control and metaverses.

Therefore, they offer us only two options! Either kill us—or force us to live in a digitized world according to a social rating with total control by AI.

No one offers any other options.

ANOTHER PATH

At first, it seemed strange to me, studying all the details of this “managed chaos,” that no one from the “global elite” proposes an alternative to the capitalist system—the very system that is tied to consumption, abundance, and population growth.

But then, delving deeper, it turned out that the truth lies at the very top: the entire existing “elite” is an enclave of capitalists. Fundamentally new people in the management system are needed, people who are able to see the world differently!

But alas. We are still governed by the same ones who are interested only in money and power.

But let me try to propose a completely different outcome, where both technology with artificial intelligence and every person will be needed.

I propose an economic model in which the main vector is the restoration of biological systems and the inclusion of humanity in the planet’s immune system. In this model, it is assumed that artificial intelligence (AI) provides a technological breakthrough, that very evolution, optimizing all processes, but at the same time the very “core” of the economy will exist by supporting and restoring the Biosphere.

That is, instead of consumption and destruction—the world must recognize global problems and begin to fix them. People must cease to be a parasitic system that destroys all living things around it and become part of the Earth’s immunity.

Let’s break it down in detail.

The existing capitalist paradigm undergoes a sharp shift from “resource” to “subject.” We stop perceiving nature as some “infinite resource”; instead, ecosystems become “subjects” with which people begin to establish balance.

The main philosophy that both states and TNCs should begin to actively promote is biocentrism. People, that is, our humanity, are not the pinnacle of evolution, but an element of the complex web of life of the entire planet. The preservation and restoration of biological systems should become a top priority, without which any economic activity loses its meaning.

This means that everything around must be tied specifically to the restoration and maintenance of the Biosphere. We are no longer a parasitic system, but the guardians of the Earth.

Let’s imagine a 20-year horizon of events. I think that is quite enough to launch a new economic model on a global scale!

In the first three years, large-scale projects are launched, an international legal framework is created, and the real consequences of “capitalism” are assessed. These are quite lengthy processes, but meta-analyses and research already exist! Therefore, there will be no problems with forming the overall picture.

Then, from 3 to 10 years, states and TNCs (transnational corporations) agree on unified legislative rules, and also massively introduce mechanisms of the “ecological model.” Large-scale programs for the restoration of biological systems are launched!

At the same time, work with the public institution unfolds! Remember, in the Soviet Union, there were posters everywhere that shaped ideology and motivation for citizens. The posters called for labor, for the defense of the socialist system, for strengthening discipline, and for the spread of “communist values.” And it worked great!

You probably remember posters with the inscriptions “Catch up and overtake,”—which called to fulfill the five-year plans as quickly as possible, or “Every hammer blow is a blow to the enemy.” There were even posters like “Join the collective farm—together we will defeat the drought!”

This propaganda worked perfectly, and the Soviet Union differed from the rest of the world in many ways, including being a pioneer in such a management system. Perhaps caricatured, but many today (take China, for example) successfully copy elements of this system.

And this is exactly what I am talking about now: the same kind of work is necessary, but aimed at transitioning from the “consumer culture,” i.e., capitalism, to a fundamentally new economic model based on the restoration of ecosystems.

At the same time, states develop and launch completely new professions! We have been so diligently destroying biological systems that now many times more time and effort are needed to restore them. Therefore, in the new economic model, the labor of all people will be very much in demand, which will allow them to be employed.

For example, highly qualified specialists will be required—just as they were needed at the moment of industrialization! Today, in the new economic model, we will need eco-architects, ecosystem restoration engineers, bio-technologists, environmental data analysts, eco-project managers, and so on.

And of course, this includes the development of technology, software, data arrays, and much, much more, which will be provided in conjunction with artificial intelligence, which, in fact, will occupy the niche of “evolutionary growth.”

Mass professions will also be needed, which will allow ordinary people to have permanent employment. These, of course, are operators for ecosystem maintenance—similar to park employees, foresters, or municipal workers. People will need to “work on the ground”—the kinds of things that artificial intelligence definitely won’t provide!

Thus, people become part of the planet’s immune system. They become part of the living world around us, rather than an isolated parasitic system.

A great many people will be needed for mass professions—these include operators, specialists in waste collection and recycling, and ecological curators who will train the population and conduct educational work, once again “on the ground.” AI will not replace these functions either.

In our cities, which are not going anywhere but will definitely become massively greener, we will need urban “eco-dispatchers” working in conjunction with neural network-based systems. And for all highly qualified specialists, assistants will be needed—that is, the same engineers and eco-architects. Also “work on the ground,” performing large-scale construction and installation tasks in creating “green” districts, “living dams,” landfill reclamation, and the restoration of wetlands.

Thus, the new economic model will allow people to be employed without the need to destroy the population. Everyone will be able to find their understandable role in the “restoration economy.”

Moreover, many professions can be entered from existing specialties, for example, by upgrading the qualifications of engineers so they can gain the necessary knowledge to work in a new position!

These are the first 10 years of forming a new economic paradigm. During this time, the old “capitalist system” will completely outlive its usefulness!

After that, from 10 to 20 years, the entire new structure will become the norm. And “restoration economy” will come to replace capitalism, where competitiveness is determined by the ability to preserve and restore nature.

WHAT ABOUT AI?

The fact is that the entire conflict today is that artificial intelligence and the capabilities it opens up in the future can destroy the “virtual” repetitive jobs that the vast majority of humanity provides.

I will ask readers once again: what exactly is your profession? Seeing AI develop in the coming years, how likely is it that it can perform your job? Not just AI, but the cutting-edge technologies it controls.

And now think about where to send your children to study. Who will they become, and will they be needed in the new world? In a world where the “global elites” are right now thinking about whether to kill ordinary people or “lock” them in digital cities and metaverses.

The proposals of the “elite” boil down to isolating ordinary people from nature. I propose an option where, on the contrary, people are integrated into the biological rhythms with a complete revision of their attitude toward the Earth’s Biosphere.

And the conflict is neutralized by itself. AI is needed in the modern world—and it will be called upon to solve the main task: how to optimize our activities so as to restore lost natural systems and take humanity to a new level of evolution. It will handle heavy calculations, analytical work, logistics, and development.

Whereas people will occupy completely new mass professions “on the ground,” which are extremely necessary for the Biosphere that is already on the verge of ecological collapse.

I suggest, instead of the inevitable social collapse and the “purge” of the masses, to follow the “environmental path,” where the value of human life increases because everyone has the opportunity to participate in the restoration and maintenance of a healthy biosphere. This is the complete opposite of the existing capitalist system.

And everyone wins: both the “global elite” and ordinary people. In addition to safety and the RIGHT TO LIFE, people get a healthy ecological environment, truly NEEDED PROFESSIONS, and the opportunity to bear and raise their children. And if now, when people have children, they think: “Well, we’ll have children, but the planet is already overpopulated and is being destroyed, how will they live?”, then in this new paradigm, having children is like creating new immune, healthy bodies.

But most importantly—the planet wins! We truly become the MIND OF THE EARTH, and there is no need to ban AI or kill the planet’s population, because in this paradigm we must all act together in common interests.
