I stand against Draft Law No. 157501, which proposes the construction of a 5.75 km road — “Vodoprovodnaya Alley – Kaliningradskaya” — directly through Losiny Ostrov National Park. Against Draft Law No. 157501 on the Construction of a Road through Losiny Ostrov National Park
I stand against Draft Law No. 157501, which proposes the construction of a 5.75 km road — “Vodoprovodnaya Alley – Kaliningradskaya” — directly through Losiny Ostrov National Park. Of this, 3.3 km would cut through untouched forest, requiring the felling of 1,860 trees and effectively splitting the park in half, disrupting the migration routes of moose, roe deer, and dozens of other Red List species.
The project contradicts Federal Law No. 33-FZ, Government Decree No. 769, and established court practice, all of which clearly prohibit any road construction in national parks not directly related to their protection. If adopted, this would set a dangerous precedent: any protected area could be “pierced” by a road and developed with gas stations, cafés, and parking lots.
I demand the immediate withdrawal of Draft No. 157501 and the preservation of Losiny Ostrov's integrity!
