Stop the dismantling of Russia’s nature reserves (Draft Law No. 156218)
I oppose Draft Resolution No. 156218, which proposes removing from the federal list of mandatory requirements the key legal acts that protect nature reserves, national parks, wildlife sanctuaries, and Red Book species.
Under threat are historical documents from the 1990s that explicitly prohibit resource extraction, construction, and poaching in protected areas. Their repeal creates a legal vacuum: reserves will be left without clear rules of protection, and any restrictions can be challenged in court.
This opens the way for the "development" of natural territories: illegal logging, mining, roads through national parks, and hunting of rare species.
If this project is approved, Russia will lose the last functioning line of defense for its wild nature.
